Steven R. Lane created the firm of Lane & Lane, LLC, with his son, Daniel, in 2009. Previously, he founded Steven R. Lane, P.C. in 2000 after practicing as a partner in the firm of Lane & Mantell for 11 years and Lane and Perl for 7 years.

Steven R. Lane has been an active Attorney providing clients throughout New Jersey with legal representation. Steven R. Lane is admitted to practice in New Jersey as well as the United States District Court of New Jersey and the United States Supreme Court. Steven R. Lane graduated Cum Laude from Seton Hall Law School in 1977 after attaining an M.B.A. in Corporate Finance from New York University – Leonard N. Stern School of Business in 1975 and a B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University in 1969. Having advanced degrees in both law and finance, Steven R. Lane has provided his clients with legal representation from a unique educational background, combining business, finance, and law.

In addition to having significant litigation experience, Steven is also a qualified Rule 1:40-12 approved mediator for matrimonial and family law matters and is also approved in collaborative law. Steven R. Lane has also been an active volunteer in New Jersey including Early Settlement Panelist for Somerset, Hunterdon and Union Counties and approved in collaborative law. Additionally, he has served on the District XIII Fee Arbitration Committee as Chairman and served as a member of the District XIII Ethics Committee. Steven R. Lane has been awarded the “10 Best” Distinction by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys.
